Do's

  • Do maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the temple and Jathara premises.
  • Do follow the instructions and guidelines given by the temple authorities.
  • Do maintain patience and discipline while standing in the queue for Darshan.
  • Do respect the traditional customs and rituals of the Koya tribal community.
  • Do offer Bangaram (jaggery) and other offerings only at the designated places.
  • Do keep your valuables and personal belongings safe during the Jathara.
  • Do cooperate with the temple staff, police and volunteers during the festival.
  • Do use the designated drinking water, toilets and other facilities provided for devotees.
  • Do follow traffic and parking instructions around Medaram.
  • Do help elderly people, children and other devotees whenever necessary.

Don'ts

  • Don't push, rush or break the queue during Darshan.
  • Don't litter or throw plastic and other waste in the temple premises.
  • Don't damage or disturb the sacred mounds, idols or traditional worship places.
  • Don't disrespect the traditional rituals and customs of the Koya community.
  • Don't approach unauthorized persons or brokers promising special Darshan.
  • Don't carry weapons or prohibited items into the temple premises.
  • Don't smoke or consume liquor and other intoxicating substances in the temple premises.
  • Don't create disturbances, arguments or engage in any form of misbehavior.
  • Don't leave children or elderly family members unattended in crowded areas.
  • Don't leave your valuables, mobile phones, bags or other belongings unattended.
  • Don't park vehicles in restricted or unauthorized areas.
  • Don't take photographs or videos in areas where photography is restricted by temple authorities.
  • Don't obstruct devotees, temple staff, priests or emergency services.
  • Don't waste food, drinking water or other facilities provided for devotees.
  • Don't encourage begging or unauthorized selling activities inside the temple premises.
